Kids mini-electric cars race rules

Registration

  • You can pre-register online after filling out the registration form:
    to Panevėžys race until 2015.10.02 18:00
    to Šiauliai race until 2015.10.03 18:00
    to Jelgava race until 2015.10.04 18:00
    to Tartu race until 2015.10.06 18:00

  • A number of the competition participants is limited: class "Mikro Drag" 20 participants, class "Slalom" 20 participants, class "Mini Drag PRO" no more than 16 participants.
  • Priority is given to the persons who managed to register first.
  • The ultimate list of the participants will be published in race day until 10:00
  • The pre-registered participant must inform the organizers if the participant knows that he (she) won’t be able to come to the race. If the ultimate list has not yet been announced, then a vacant place goes to the next participant determined in accordance with registration serial number.
  • If the pre-registered participant fails to arrive to the competition 10 minutes prior its beginning, then his (her) vacant place may go to any other participant who has arrived to the competition place. In this case the priority of pre-registration is not applicable.
  • During registration the participant must indicate his (her) name, surname, details about his (her) age, height, weight, city, name of contest, contact phone number, email. The persons participating in “Mini Drag PRO” racing must add the team name, name and surname of the mechanic, racing achievements.

The rules of "Mikro Drag" class

  • The children who are able to self-drive mini-electric car can participate in the competition.
  • Only children younger than 6 years of age can participate.
  • Mini-electric cars are given to the participants by the organizer.
  • While driving the participant must wear a helmet. The cyclist's helmet can be worn. The participants who do not have any helmet it will be given by the organizer.
  • The length of the racing distance is 60 feet (18,288 meters). It is one of the distance segments used in professional competition.
  • The participants compete in pairs.
  • A traffic light gives a signal to start the racing.
  • The participant is granted the right to drive one valid drive.
  • The racing winners are determined in accordance with the total summation of the times of the participants reaction (RT) and racetrack overpass (ET).
  • If several participants have overpassed the racetrack with the same result (RT+ET), in such case a higher won position goes to the participant who showed a better reaction time (RT).
  • The participant who made a false start earns 3 seconds of penalty time added to the driving time.
  • If pursuant to the aforesaid criteria the winner could not be determined, then the participants must drive once again.
 

The rules of "Slalom" class

  • The children who are able to self-drive mini-electric car can participate in the competition.
  • Only children younger than 10 years of age and whose weight does not exceed 30 kg can participate.
  • Mini-electric cars are given to the participants by the organizer.
  • While driving the participant must wear a helmet. The cyclist's helmet can be worn. The participants who do not have any helmet it will be given by the organizer.
  • The participants will have to overpass so called "serpentine".
  • The participants of this contest must correctly overpass the track without hampering the cones which serve as the track markers. For every overthrown or pushed cone the participant earns 1 second of penalty time.
  • The participants compete in pairs.
  • A traffic light gives a signal to start the racing. 
  • The participant who made a false start earns 3 seconds of penalty time added to the driving time.
  • The participant is granted the right to drive one valid drive.
  • The racing winners are determined in accordance with the total summation of the times of the participants reaction (RT) and racetrack overpass (ET).
  • If several participants have overpassed the racetrack with the same result (RT+ET), in such case a higher won position goes to the participant who showed a better reaction time (RT).
  • If pursuant to the aforesaid criteria the winner could not be determined, then the participants must drive once again.
 

The rules of "Mini Drag PRO" class

  • The children who are able to self-drive their own mini-electric car can participate in the competition.
  • Only one participant may participate with one electric car.
  • While driving the participant must wear a helmet (the cyclist's helmet can be worn (the participants who do not have any helmet it will be given by the organizer)).
  • The length of the racing distance is 60 feet (18,288 meters). It is one of the distance segments used in professional competition.
  • The participants compete in pairs.
  • A traffic light gives a signal to start the racing. 

Technical requirements for electric cars

  • Participation in the racing is permissible only using children's mini-electric cars a maximum speed of which is not bigger than 12 km per hour.
  • The wheels of electric cars can be modified in order to ensure a better adherence to the track coating.

Qualification

  • During qualification the participant is granted the right to drive twice.
  • Each participant must perform at least one qualifying driving.
  • The main recorded time of qualification is ET, i.e. the time spent in the track from the start line to the finish line, regardless of which participant passes the finish line first. In accordance with ET the qualification results are be determined.
  • False start is not recorded during qualification.
  • The best participant’s result is scored during qualification.
  • If during qualification two participants show the same result (the same ET time), the won placed of these participants are determined in accordance with their reaction time (RT). A higher won place goes to the participant who managed to achieve a better RT time.
  • Only that participant’s result during which there was no violation of maximum speed (12 km per hour) limit is recorded during qualification.

Final driving

  • Before the final driving the participants are lined up in pairs in accordance with the recorded qualification results.
  • The participant of the pair who managed to cross the finish line first wins the driving and continues the competition.
  • The participant’s reaction time, false start and the time of racetrack overpass are recorded during the final.
  • If during the final driving the participant exceeded the speed limit of the class (12 km per hour), he (she) shall be considered to have lost the drive.
